We believe in providing a spiritual covering and teaching the youth to put God first. We also believe that our youth can have a voice in the church. Rather, it is through dance, song or spoken word. We believe in teaching them valuable life lessons such as teamwork, respect, leadership. commitment and integrity. The youth is our now generation and we aim to make them into spiritual, educated and well-respected individuals.






Train-up a chid in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). The Children's Church is an extension of the Youth Ministry. It is designed to instruct our youth in the doctrine of the Church of God In Christ faith at a level that is appropriate to their understanding. This program is intended not only to nurture their spiritual growth, but it is also targeted to foster their natural development as well. It is a service that will both strengthen and fortify their character, while up building the Kingdom of God.

The reaching, winning, holding, and developing the spiritual and moral characters of young people are the one of the church's biggest and most vital jobs. It is important to instill spiritual principles early in a child's life therefore we must make the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ more attractive in every way through the media, games, worship, etc. No investment is too great to give our children the true meaning of the Creator. For time has made the difference, we must qualify our coming generations for leadership and success. The book of Proverbs admonishes us to teach our children in the way of the Lord and to instruct them in the walk of everyday living.

Children's Church will focus on our youth up to the age of 12 years old.





The Follow up Committee is responsible for effective communication to new members and recent visitors of the ministry. The follow up committee provides a warm personal welcome to each new family member and provides them with a new members welcome package. The Follow Up Committee spearheads a quarterly new members welcome reception.





As St. James grew, efforts to expand Christian outreach through various platforms were put in place. As a result, St. James has an extensive media ministry on television, radio and Streaming Faith.com.  St. James has been featured on several Christian Television programs, numerous local and national print medias as “one of the leading churches in the Chicago land area”. 





Our mission as the church announcers is to support the Pastor and ministry by clearly communicating with excitement all aspects of the ministry for the edification of the body of Christ. We embrace the vision to share and spread the specifics of programs, services, and other events with the local body of the ministry as the community at large.
